Help with wine selection

Posted by connie on February 26, 2004 at 20:45:16:

Hi,
I am planning a function for approximately 350 people. The dinner menu is salmon, lamb and chicken as well as other buffet items. I need to get about 9 cases white and 6 cases red. I am thinking about the Raymond Amberhill Chardonnay ($5 per bottle) and the Columbia Crest Merlot/Cab blend($4 per bottle). Any other suggestions for something in the inexpensive price range?

Also, we need some champage for Kir Royale. /Any suggestions for that?
Thank you so much!!!
