>>>Can I mix IDE and SCSI
You can mix IDE & SCSI in the same machine (not RAID – and it may require a separate controller)
>>> Can I just add ATAPI devices
Depends on your device; Some ATAPI devices will accept SCSI command packets (SCSI emulation)
>>>Can I set the boot device or must I let the machine choose?
Depending on your setup you may be able to set which drive is the boot drive (usually drive 0)
>>>I haven't been able to find out much online; maybe I just don't know where to look?
Google is always your best friend
