Oregon pinot noir tasting...

Posted by mkuller on September 28, 2017 at 12:08:12:

...six of us tasted six currently available Oregon pinot noirs.

The one you like best gets one point, like least 6 points and low points wins.

6. 2014 Cristom Mt. Jefferson $32 - 31pts - 3 lasts - had a little off flavor

5. 2014 A to Z $24 - 23pts (my #2)

4. 2013 Tendril Extrovert - $29 - (92pts WS - Costco) - 21pts - 1 first, 1 last

3. 2013 Willakenzie Estate $35 - 20pts - 1 first, 1 last

2. 2015 Willamette $25 - 16pts - 3 firsts, 1 last

1. 2015 Dennison Cellars $40 - 15pts - 1 first (my first)

They were all pretty good except for the one as you can see by the scores. They did change a little over the tasting. Either of the top wines are highly recommended with the Willamette being less expensive and easier to find.
