RX-8 and Toyota Pickup

Posted by gymwear5@hotmail.com on November 3, 2005 at 20:53:27:

I bought my midlive crisis mobile a year ago and love it - the RX-8. As a 1980 RX-7 owner - a pre marriage purchase - I can't believe what a value the new vehicle is. 25 years level I pay only twice the price, get over twice the HP, carry two more people, have twice ans many disc brakes, better tires & wheels, better safety, only 500lbs more weight gets the same mileage and is just a blast to drive on a twisty road and effortlessly climbs to the 200km/hr speeds I shouldn't travel on the highways in Georgia. I like it so much - I've put 22K miles in just a year - 50mile R/T commute, a couple of GA - MN trips. I think I'm going to let my daughter have it when she goes to the west coast for College next fall.

That means I will go back to the 1988 Toyota Pickup with 188Kmiles. Still going strong but I think I'm going to try my hand a customizing the thing before the RX-8 leaves. Any suggestions? I'm leaning toward replacing the bed with a wooden flat beds with stake sides... A general update of the front end - but noting too rad or bling.
