dinghy crusers

i was desining a dinghy that i could use for crusing that is about 14-15
feet long. i plan on having a weghted center bord, a self draining cockpit,and a boom tent but im having truble finding space for water proof storige or rather how to make it water proof and was wandering if ya'll have any ideas
