Anyone have a Carver Santa Cruz?

I'm looking at a 26' 1986 Carver Santa Cruz.
I was wondering about any good or bad things anyone knows about them.
I've read a few web sites that speak poorly of Carver in general. I'm looking to do offshore stuff with this and wanted to see what someone said about how they handle 4-6' seas for instance.
Any tips or comments greatly appreciated and/or any links to websites that have anymore detail on this boat.
