..."in action", too, except it was a black GT model.

All I have to say is, "I want one!"

I drove one as a rental car several weeks ago. Just 300 miles! Rented an "intermediate" car from Avis and they upgraded me to a red Mustang, though regular model not GT. Very nice looking car. It was fun- When I hit the gas I felt like screaming "America! Fuck Yeah!" But the power seemed more raw than graceful. And I did not feel the same steering precision I feel on my wife's base Audi A4. Finally the rear-view mirror was pretty low on the windshield, making it hard for me to see what is in my path when I turned right. But no doubt I'd take such a "free upgrade" again!

One or two in town here also. It makes me wonder though what Ford's design team is up to. T-Bird; modern redo of a 55-57 model. GT-40, modern redo. Mustang; '69 redo. Is the Pinto/Bobcat coming back next? :)
I know Chev has their retro truck, there's the VW bug and also the mini... probably others I'm not remembering, but three cars in one manufacturers lineup?

. . . and, can they leave it that way with out putting the 70's treatment on it.

This thing brings out the boom in baby boomer.
( huh? )

You may enjoy the look of the new mustang as I do, but if you want the best factory produced hot rod, with USA horsepower, move on over to the cadillac CTS-V. Not much on the street today can take it and certainly anything that can costs MUCH more than it does.

If your a boomer.... grow up and get a CTS-V .... and enjoy the mustangs from the rear view mirror.
