almost anything will work as a wedge to chalk the tires. you just want to make sure of 2 things, 1 the wedge wont slide, 2 the wheel wont roll over it. a wedge 25% of the tires hight should do. I have used anything from a log to a brick as a chalk.

It's chock, not chalk. Chalk is for writing on pavement. Chock is for not-rolling on pavement.
