I recently saw a video of a small sampan / canoe being driven by, what can best be described as a weed whacker with a propellor. Does anybody have an idea what these are called and who makes them?

Try mudbug. I donot know if this is correct, If not try a key word search for mudbug outboard motors. www.mudbug.com They are in louisana They specialize in small motors for swamping in shallow water
