I've got this classic restored Sportster 15 ft runabout boat with a 59 Mercury Super marathon engine that was overhauled and which is running excellent. The boat sat for 30 years until the grandchildren of the owner sold it to me and we completely redid the inside. Now I noticed little blisters all over the bottom. Unfortunately I don't have the time anymore to deal w/ it. I am considering getting it done by a pro but I guess that will cost me a firtune.Do you think its worth it? How much should I invest in it? I do get a lot of compliments about the boat and I want to keep it but just don't know if I am wasting $ from here on.

The blisters don't make it unusable.
However, if it has been out of the water for a long time and protected from the elements, now would be a good time for a fix while it is still dry. Why not get a quote from someone and go from there? If you think it's too much you can go ahead and use it the way it is. It will do better if trailered as opposed to leaving it in the water all the time. Or maybe you have some teenagers who would like a project. The major paint companies have special products with instructions for their use.
