Sears Gamefisher advice..........

I have an opportunity to buy a like-new 5 h.p. Sears Gamefisher but I am told that Sears stopped selling them and parts are difficult or impossible to find. Does anyone know the scoop on these motors? Thanks.

I donot know so much about the 3 and 5 hp motors parts availibility. The larger 15 hp was made by force and parts are readily available for them. sears still has some parts for the smaller ones. I donot know how long the supply will last. If it is like new and cheap it will probably last for many years with only routine maintenance. parts are at www.3sears.com

  Briggs & Stratton engine corp. is producing a 5hp outboard engine assy. that is very cost friendly. Retail price is about 800.us dollars complete including fuel tank. You can get more info. from the briggs&stratton web site. We are a Briggs dealer and have seen some of these units and are quite impressed. The only limitation is they are not designed for salt water use. If your local dealer will not haelp you we will.
