I'm even "greener" than Larry. I friend of mine asked me if I wanted to buy an old @1954 20 foot wooden bayliner motorboat. Supposedly, the motor is in good condition. It sounds fun, but does anyone have any thoughts as to how much such a boat is worth? I don't even know what to ask about. Any thoughts?

Follow Ups:
The price of the wooden Bayliner might be from a couple of hundred to several thousand dollars. If the complete outfit is there with origional papers and documentation owners manuals etc It could be worth a tidy sum to a bayliner dealer for display purposes. There are antique boat collectors. who collect refurbish and race these old boats. The overall condition of the boat should also be taken into account. There are too many variables to discuss here.
