I bought a used Johnson small outboard motor, 6.5 hp. Model BF7RSY. What I would like to know what is the right mixture of multi purpose 2 cycle oil with gasoline? I have been using 4 oz. of Premium outboard oil per 2 gallons of premium gasoline, am I doing the mixture right?
Follow Ups:
The mix should be 50to1 gas oil ratio which is about 5.3 ounces of oil to 2 gals. gas. should use regular or mid grade gas. premium may have additives that could harm your motor. you should use tcw or tcw-3 rated oil. not all purpose 2 cycle oil. Donot skimp on oil it is the life of your engine. hope this helps.

I am using Pennzoil premium outboard multi-purpose 2 cycle oil, I hope this is o.k.? It is the only outboard oil they sell down here. Thank you for replying.
