I'm trying to sell a boat for an elderly widow. It's a 16' aluminum Smith Craft, made in 1950 according to the registration. I've been trying to find some info on Smith Craft. Does anyone know anything about this company or it's boats? Possibly it's made by ChrisCraft (founded by Chris Smith) but I can't find where they ever used this name.thx, Dick

If not mistaken, Smith Craft boats were built near Dothan, Alabama. Wasn't aware that they produced aluminum models. We owned a 1949 16' plywood outboard until 1976. Having a friend from area attempt to collect more info - will share, if anything of substance materializes.
