Most of the 1997 - 1998 engines were manufactured by Mercuryt for Sears. The parts are available from Sears.com and/or Mercury. The Sears site is very informative simply by entering the model number.

Try Brix enterprise website. They have a chart where you can look up your sears model # and it tells you who made it & everything you need to know about it.
