  You were so nearly correct. Maurice did indeed start with a 19ft boat on his drawing board, which grew to 24 ft eventually, yes 18 ft on WL. In 1960 or there abouts he drew out the 26ft. He went on to draw a 31 ft boat verysimilar, single chine, that he called the Riptide!

    Maurice Griffiths did not design an 18' Eventide (ooops!). The particulars show "18/24" with the "18" standing for the Waterline Length of the 24' Eventide. Did Griffiths design a 26' version? Maybe not, builders may have stretched the 24 footer...
