Is your 3 hp outboard a 1 or 2 cylinder unit? It seems these days all outboards made are 1 cylinder to about 6 hp except the venerable Johnson 4 hp. The new 4 strokes sure are quiet and even with 1 cylinder quite smooth running. The only negative (besides price) is the weight, Honda 5 hp is about 60lbs., your gamefisher is probably under 30...
