I was thinking of buying a Galaxie boat and was wonder if any one has information on how well they were built or how well they lasted.

Here Where I live, We had The Galaxy, The Dixie, and the Fourwinns brands that were really similar and equally popular in the late seventies and early eighties. I have never owned a galaxy. I have ridden in several. Basically they are good quality servicable boats. They didnot ride the best in the world.They did handle well however, The only complaint was that they would hammer over wake and waves rather than glide through them causing a kind of rough ride at times. These boats have pulled lots of recreational skiers and served this purpose well. If I just wanted a decent boat, I would buy one if the price was right. and in good condition., TG
