I think building from wood is the best way to go. they been making them like that for years.. My favorite substance fibergalass might also prove to be a solution,, Other then that, not much else really comes to ming.. Perhaps cutting the end off a 10,000 gallon water or iol tank might hold a solution..Ill think more about this and post what I come up with if anything.
Ive been right straight out at work, so havent been here that much lately,,
take care and good luck.

My wife is pressuring me to jut get a portable spa type thing. She thinks that if I build something it might look unsightly in our back yard....she just does not have or understand the importance of making something yourself. In our argument so far, I am losing and may have to go with a portable spa

Thats to bad she is gonna strong arm ya into buying something you can build,, why not send her away for teh weekend to go shop and just do it hehehe, Just make sure its pretty,,, Im sure she is pictureing your versioon of a outboard and thinking NO WAY hehehe.
The more she saw me researching the tub on the internet the more concerned she was becoming hehe. She found one today for $500 and when i saw it i could not believe how big it was, its like the biggest model ever made. The one she looked at before was 470lbs, the crew that moved it said this one was closer to 1000 lbs dry. I gave in and got it. The guy said it worked but it was been sitting for a long time so I will have to keep my fingers crossed and hope that it fires up ok. There is a bit of wood rot but I can fix that.
