Looking to get into digital and these 2 models have sort of grabbed my initial attention. Any user comments? Or others I should consider in this price range?

I'm currently a Nikon FE2 user, and take (and print, in the darkroom--do digital users even know what that is?) a good deal of B/W photos. This new camera will probably be my only digital camera for a while. Want something that will take good pictures, has ease of use (that is, easy learning curve given that this will be my first foray into digital, but not something I'll feel trapped by once I've understood how to use it), and build quality.
