Having so many good 35 mm cameras, I was wondering why not just put a nother back cover on it with a digital picture capture abillity. I know I will only get part of the frame, but I would not have to get a new line of extra equipment.Jens

High grade digi backs are popular in the pro world of medium and large format. The pixels are much larger than the pixels in consumer grade point 'n shoot digi cams. Mega Vision makes a nice 6 MP for medium format.
- - -- -Hey, maybe Silicon Film Technologies
(see link in a previous post) will make
a Medium-Format device
similiar to their 'EFS-1' for
35mm cameras; except it would fit
in the back of Mamiya, Pentax, and
MAYBE KIEV-88 6X6 cameras!!???and the
6 X 4.5 format cameras...??
...What brands of 35mm cameras do
you have??--

Cameras,35mm:
A lot of Exakts + everything one could get extra for it.
Later I got Nikons.About time, but $600+ It is not exaktly what I want, but close. I would like the direct monetor ability etc. that is, the whole back of the camera must be exthanged to get the direct conections.
I did cut op a small digital (180*320) "camera", and got it mounted in a camers, but got very low picture quality.
Guess I will spend $200 on a 1.3 mega..( first se if I can find a non working unit), and se if I can get it to work for me. I don't mind drilling and gluing. I have some Nikon N2000 I could cut up, when I get into that stage of mind.

....it lets you see the frame you just shot
on an LCD screen on the camera back---but SO FAR,
no 35mm camera company has come up with
a removable/ exchangeable film-back
which uses 'memory cards' such
as CompactFlash---you'd think in the
year 2001, we'd have
such a thing by now!!!Of course, you
COULD buy one of the DOZENS of
purely-digital cameras out there...
