What does it mean, 'No Batteries'. Something inside still stores that cranked-up energy, anyway?
As for cellphones. Why use hand-crank at all? Batteries can be charged by flywheel, as long as you walk, like in automatic watches. It should be sufficient for standby, but not for long talks. Anyway, a nice advertizing twist: 'Finally, A CellPhone for a Man of Few Words'...
