Ok, I defended the APS happy snap system a while back, and I still like it. But don't make the same silly mistake I did.
I bought a store brand film from a big National chain, not sure if it's cool to mention the name here.
Anyway, they're the only place I've that markets APS film with their own house brand. It's made in Italy, and I don't know which film company supplies it. I doubt it would be Agfa or Konica, unless they have an Italian branch.
To get to the point, the film sucks the stars out of the sky. It's flat, grainy, blotchy, the blacks are muck, and the colors are washed out. The 200 is better than the 400, but neither is worth the couple of bucks I saved. And I shot 10 rolls of this crap on my vacation!
I knew better, but I did it anyway. Never again!
I am looking forward to trying the new Fuji 800 APS though.

Ask next time. I'm sure that someone, some where, might have had good luck with "store brand" film, but I can't find one (including myself) offhand, who can say that.I tried a couple of rolls (around home, as a test) several times when somebody INSISTED that the stuff was "ok".
One time, the person just said "oh. dear." and tried to pay me back for the film. (I bought it, it's not their fault, really) The other person (a store person) insisted that my camera meter was bad. That would be very peculiar, since it works great for Kodak, Fuji, and Ilford films, and in fact ONLY failed on two different rolls of this store crap, both of which looked like they had age fog.
I'm sorry about your vacation. If you find Fuji Press 800 or NHG2 800 in APS, that's about as good as I know of. Maybe Kodak will put their new "Supra" press film into APS. That would be nice.
Nowdays I buy film exclusively from B&H Photo or Unique Photo (B&H is better, Unique is down the street from work). Go to www.bhphotovideo.com, click on film, then APS, and see what they carry. Basically, if it exists, they almost always have it, and their prices are usually known to be good, too.
