It might be fun to add a variation of this study into a wine tasting.

If not the color change, then maybe pour the same wine into two different bottles, one known to be expensive and one known to be moderately priced.

...it's been done.

I'm always surprised when the cheaper wines win our blind wine tastings.

  I was more intrigued by the same wine being presented as different wines.
  
  And for the white vs. red tasting, not sure how hard it would be to add food coloring to get a believable result.

    Some in the group are more interested in finding the next terrific $15 bottle of wine.
    
    I'm just looking for new wines I like.
