I was thinking of buying a Canon Elan 7E as I'd like a compact SLR for biking. I have a pretty complete Canon system so I'd like to stay in the EOS family. I played with an Elan 7 at a Canon expo in Honolulu and thought the viewfinder image might be a little smaller than my EOS 3 & A2.Recently, I read the Elan 7E review in the April Popular Photography. The specs in the article indicate 82% viewfinder coverage of the frame. Is this a misprint? Isn't it more likely to be 92% or 90%? My A2 has 92/94% coverage but I sometimes find small surprises on the edges of my chromes that weren't visible in the viewfinder, so 82% would be suckie.
Anyone using this camera?
Thanks

I thought it was 87%...marginally sucky...
I had an oppurtunity to get one....but decided the digital was the key for my needs at this time..(Have many cameras)Give it some shots and see if you like it.....the dealer will be happy to work with you in certain circumstances.
