For the past year, or so @ K&L Wine on Vine in Hollywood, CA...

It's close by and they have had a nice selection of somewhat obscure European offerings as well as more than decent prices on domestic wines.
I stopped collecting/storing wine @ the end of the last century, but still purchase it for holidays and special gifts.
Years ago I shopped Wally's/Westwood, the Wine House/WLA, The Wine Exchange/Orange, CA (I think), a small shop on San Vicente in Hollywood, LA Wine Company/Culver City? & 2-3 others that I don't recall right now.
The major supermarkets & Trader Joe's pretty much carry what the local distributor/Young's carries (TJ's has not had a real/decent wine buyer since the late 1980's/early 1990's).
PS:
Remembered a couple more old sources. Safeway during the 80's and Cost Plus, which I think may now be called Cost Plus World Market.
I wondered @ the time (late 80's) if the wine buyer for Safeway ended up working for Cost Plus, but never checked it out.
