Just got back from Paso Robles...

...Harvest Festival weekend.

Remember the big white castle on hiway 46 called Eagle something-or-other? Very cool place, but terrible wines.

Tooth and Nail has taken the castle over - their wine is good and every Friday night they have a party out on one of the patios with a band and food.

Near there is Turley, Cypher and J. Dusi wineries. All three make a Dusi Vinyard zinfandel. It was interesting tasting the same fruit handled by 3 different winemakers (I liked the Cypher the best).

We also went to a handful of smaller wineries out in the country just east of Templeton - good wine, nice places, reasonably priced and interesting people.
