Rosenblum Vintners Cuvee zinfandel...

Posted by mkuller on March 8, 2015 at 19:32:02:

...this year's "XXXVI" has been on sale at Trader Joe's for $2.99 and usually sells for about $9 - people have been buying it by the case.

A couple of years ago an earlier version of this wine won our blind zin tasting beating some costing over $40.

So I bought a couple of bottles of this years to try it.

Yuck - not a good year for it, has kind of an off taste even though it might be better than 2-buck-chuck.

So I tried the second bottle to be sure and I ended up pouring them down the sink.

Not recommended - you might try the Ravenswood version which has been recommended but I have not had this year.
