I've been a fan of some of Rosenblum's zins over the past 20 years, Harris Kratka for example, but many are a little too fruit forward for me.

At his quarterly open houses they would pour about 30 wines in all, maybe a third zins.

Now he's sold to Diageo for $200 million and left, helping his daughter at Rockwall nearby.

So this year's Vintners Cuvee tasted surprisingly well balanced, especially at the price.
