Mailing list...

Posted by jimbill on April 16, 2012 at 20:46:55:

How do they work?

I've belonged to the Siduri/Novy mailing list for the last 4-5 years.
They sent me an email about how one of their wines was getting a "94" from WS and they only had 25 cases left so they were offering them to their loyal customers first...

I ordered 3 bottles at $49 plus shipping plus sales tax.

Three days later I get an email from my local retailer (given, they are a big time player in the market) offering the same wine for $33.97 plus tax, no shipping...

I bought the 6 bottle max. allocation and cancelled the Siduri mailing list order.

What gives?
