...I don't care for them, but a couple in our group wanted to taste them.

Too big, dense and heavy for me.

Usually we have snacks while we taste - maybe some bread and cheese. For these we had to have meat - thin sliced proscuitto and ham, along with cheese, bread and some dark chocolate

Anyway 6 of us tasted 5 of the 2009s, some from big names like Ridge and Turley.

The winner and favorite by a large margin was from Cypher in Paso Robles who recently took over Four Vines.
