Sorry, I've been absent and tardy with a response. I took part in an event in Milwaukee last month and one of the seminars we put on was Washington vs the world. Just to show people how are wines stack up (not trying to play the we are better card). Ron from Tamarack was there and put one of his cabs against something really pricey from Napa (Dunn maybe). Whatever wine it was, it was priced over $100 and the Tamarack was maybe $30 (I think it was a reserve.) By a show of hands most preferred the Tamarack. They were certainly both very good.
Also there was Powers. I had not tasted there wines before, but their cab also showed well against some pricey competition.
I'm sure I can come up with more if I think hard enough!
