I'd use a wine rack. If you're really worried I'd keep it in the pantry on the lower shelves.
If you like your wine at cellar temperature I'd get a wine sleeve. Put the sleeve on 20 minutes in advance and you're good to go.
I'm not trying to be smug. You drink your wines within months of purchase. They've probably been sitting in a warehouse or a wine store for a few months before you bought it. It was shipped on a ship in a 40 ft. container or sent in a long haul truck. Wine isn't that delicate. As long as you don't let it get up into the high 80's or above then they should be fine for at least a couple of years.
If you plan to store them for a decade or more then you need to look into a cellaring type unit or system. Otherwise save your money on the refrigerator and the constant electricity drain. Use the savings to buy more wine!
