Unless something has changed, Outpost is being made by Thomas Brown. I'm a big fan of his Pinot's, especially under his own label Rivers-Marie. In fact, it's the only list that I am on.
Last summer I took one of his Cabs to a dinner party with a bunch of wine biz people. It was everything I dislike about a cab...over ripe, over oaked...maybe not over extracted, but I don't remember at this point. Everything his Pinots are not! No one took a second pour from the bottle!

My favorite wine from the night was a white wine from the Golan Heights...I can't read Hebrew, so I have no idea what was in the bottle!!!

BTW, Outpost has been sending me mailers for the last year or two.....and I've never had any connection with them....and being in Costco is an act of desperation (unless of course it's in your original business plan)...

It's a good time to be a small producer and not have to worry about massive amounts of inventory!! Spring release is next week here in Walla Walla and I've sold thru 5 of my 6 wines from the last vintage. My wine club has a 7 plus year waiting list (even in the crappy economy I've only lost a few people).....now if I can only figure out how to make money!!!!!
