...I get recommendations from Wine Spectator or friends.
1. wineries - I prefer to taste the wine before buying if possible.
2. small local discount wine shop with big selection.
3. Costco - wine steward there is pretty knowledgeable and they list the ratings.
4. Safeway 30% off sales
I belong to two wine clubs - Ferrari Carano's chardonnay club for my wife where we get 4 bottles every 3 months and Rafanelli for me where I've been buying a case of zinfandel every year for 25 years.
I'm on the list to join Turley's club again.
