...I see you are on the East Coast so there are many French and Italian wines available that would be good for cellaring for a few years.

Even some from California - decent cabs, syrahs and blends can go about 5 years, zinfandels around 3 and even pinot noirs and chardonnays for a year or two.

I would suggest subscribing to Wine Spectator.
