I've been reading about this event everywhere. Brad Kane has an exhaustive summary on Robin Garr's WLDG, another exhaustive summary on Mark Squire's Board, plus there is Mr. Coad's extensive complementary coverage at Wine therapy, and Sasha's brilliant contribution to The Wine Front.I also heard that Jeff Connell's lengthy report of the dinner was deleted from one of the boards, I believe it was The Canadian Wine Report, when they learned he had not actually attended event. Happily, I was e-mailed a copy of his posting before the ax fell. And despite rumors to the contrary, I am certain that Randy 'Bucko' Buckner was not in attendence. Apparently he does not like New York.
I attended the event and feel as if I am re-watching Rashomen. Every correspondent's report differs so much in the details of the evening that I am no longer confident of my own recollections of the event. Although it was great to see Manuel Camblor again, even if he didn't get the apartment in Trump Towers.
