I think Nathan has done us all a great service by moving our focus from the 'Bixleresque' to Core Wine Discussions (CWDs). I'm afraid we are facing a credibility gap here at the Asylum and serious wine internet afficianados doubt everything that is written here. No one knows what to believe!Is Peter Finkelstein a real person? Is Kay Bixler? Is there a Pierre Overnoy and if there is does he produce a Vin Jaune? If someone drinks a Pierre Overnoy Vin Jaune in the silence of a deserted forest, does....
I note, for instance, that Jay Miller is not certain if the event being organized for Bize Leroy tomorrow at Café Loup is in fact a real event or not.
My guess is that calling each other Brother, Comrade, Confrérie, Esteemed Bixlerian Coad or Esteemed Bixlerian Dressner would only further stretch our credibility.
