Inexpensive chardonnay...

Posted by mkuller on October 11, 2018 at 21:05:26:

...if your tastes run toward big, buttery Rombauer-style chardonnays, this is one you should try.

A friend recommended it and said they blind tasted it against Rombauer and couldn't pick the Rombauer correctly.

It is buttery, although without a lot of the different fruit flavors I look for - perhaps some pineapple - but it has no off-flavors, which make it work.

2017 Carmenet chardonnay. At $6.99 it's hard to beat if you like the style.

We will be doing some blind chardonnay tastings in preparation for the big one at our wine tasting group XMas Party and this will be included.included.
