Here's where the recommendation came from...

Two inexpensive cabernets.

After reading the WS 92 pt. review I tried the 2015 Beringer Knight's Valley for $25 at Total Wines. It took a little while to open up but it had It had nice raspberry fruit, a little cedar with some depth and a nice finish.

Someone on a serious wine newsgroup recommended the 2016 Kirkland Signature Stags Leap District - $25 at Costco - as being the best he's tasted for over twice as much.

So three of us did a blind tasting of the two cabs.

It was unanimous - The Kirkland Signature is amazing for the price. The Beringer took longer to open up and when it did, it wasn't as intense or flavorful as the Kirkland Signature.

Highly recommended.
