I'm only about half-way through this book, but it is highly recommended for anyone interested in Miles' electric period-1969-1991. It is very thorough in its analysis of Mile's transition to electric instruments and the various transitions and influences he went through once he went electric.
On a side note, thanks for the new forum! I am an avid bookworm and am always on the lookout for new titles to read. I seem to never have enough time to read anymore. I spent a year living in NYC and could blow through a book a week between waiting for subways/PATH trains, and what not. Now back in middle America I find less and less time to read.
