Sorry, I misunderstood. I meant "not consumer advice" as that they also have a ton of very knowledgable professionals that participate in the forums, and for a long time now I've been reading the posts on more composition and picture critiques than "where to buy". I agree it's definitely a very valuable site for those starting out as well.
Phil does not write all that much anymore. I remember when that site used to be all just about his travel journals. Nowadays it's more about the readers who post -- but then again, I'm sure others get other things out of that site. For me, it's like a Photoasylum, largely because all I go for are those daily posts.
