Careful how you set a lightly loaded boat with a hydrofoil. Depending on the hull side shape, the chine can cut into the water, given the lifting transom something to push against and flip the boat. It happened to me once when I had the motor tucked in too far and crossed the slow rolling wake of a larger boat at my full speed (17.5mph) The boat flipped with amazing speed, throwing me clear of the boat thanks only to the seat back and the fact that I was leaning against it, facing slightly left when the left chine dug in.
