A photographer's haven for the lastest in digital or traditional film cameras.

Far be it from me to critique another pic around here ,people get PISSED

66.19.184.73

as if their manhood was challenged.Instead of taking it as just one person's opinion.Allbeit a professional photo judge at local camera clubs. And former picture editor for a chain of newspapers.Enough about me!

Re-visiting that tiger shot, it is a very tightly cropped headshot.Including the top of ears.Model photogs often do very tight headshots on magazine covers from chin to over eyebrows, to carry off their feeling or mood of the image. That tongue and ear are in my original positive. Is that Cardinal's tail? :)

However, I think I can mention to you, you'd rather have a closer tight view of the big Red Guy , by using a 600mm lens.

If indeed the tail is already clipped, then making a tighter cropping in , say from off the right edge.Up to the wood knot. Then under the tail even more, and crop the left up to the lighter branches .Say in line with the first 0 in 2003.Finally a little off the top.

I do wish we could get a discussion group going on in here, about helping all of us toward better shooting......
