I read the pre-production review on the 10D and it has several real benefits over the D60. First, the noise levels have been reduced significantly. This is particularly noticeable at an ISO 400 equivalent. Second, the absence of "jaggies" and moire is notable and quite visible in blow ups. Third, the white balance has been improved and it seems to be a real step forward. Compared to the test of the 1DS the 10 has lower noise on an absolute basis, but not when sensor size and image magnification is taken into account. Also, the 1 ds does not seem to have as good white balance as the 10.

This is a very serious amateur digital camera. And given that the 1 ds costs 6 times as much, it's a steal. Canon will have to address the cost of the 1Ds, the new Kodak 14 MP camera is about 1/2 the price.
