A photographer's haven for the lastest in digital or traditional film cameras.

from a practical standpoint- it all depends on the quality you can observe at a given size image on

a print out.As a pro photog I am bothered by poor digital pictures printed by my Epson 1280, from a lo-rez card image. My Epson can at 260 dpi print out an indistinishable product than from a photo lab.

What do I mean? A 16 meg card shot at raw or tiff -superfine setting gives me 16 shots.Enables me to print up to 11 x 14 inch wall photos. When same card is in fine setting I get 24 shots capable of great 5x7 or 8x10's.If I try to economize to get 32 or more shots from that 16 meg card I'm lucky to get wallet size or 4x6's.Good only for downloading on the internet, which look fine on today's monitors ,at 72 dpi.resolution.
