Re: Pentax SLR bodies

Hi Rodney.
I'm a Pentax fan myself. I still have my MX body and a few lenses. It lasted about 20 years before needing some repair service. At that time I switched to a Nikon because I wanted to see if the added cost was worth it. Anyway, I still have my MX body and recently had it serviced (complete cla) and now keep it on a shelf with some other keepsakes. Its like family.

It is a shame the camera makers did not choose to make digital backs for 35mm film slrs as a retrofit.

I can't advise about the modern Pentax product line. I'd expect them to still offer excellent value at their price-point. But that's out of subjective product loyalty based one one good long lasting experience.
