An audiophile PC?

Hi all,

I know that this has been asked a little before but I have not been in the mix of this for a while. I would like to build a truly great audiophile pc for use on stereo only for the time being. I was going to use a transport and benchmark dac-1 but have now rethought this and am checking into doing a pc setup.
I know how to get a pc to be quiet enough so that is not an issue. I currently run an amd 2600 processor with an asus A7N8X-E DLX mobo and 512mb of 2100 ddr memory.
I am looking at some of the offerings from Lynx Studio ie. L22 and TWO for a soundcard. I would most likely switch to Seagate Barracuda HD's as these are supposed to be pretty darned good. What else do I need to look at?
Has anyone had any experience with some of the higher end cards that I should be leaning towards??

Thanks,
wasser
