Given that the ahi was dredged in
green peppercorns, I'd have to suggest
a pinot noir.

The pepper offers a nice contrast with
the the berry flavor of the pinot.

For those who want something a bit
different, a gamay boujelois would do
the trick nicely, as well.

Possilby, but does it come with fries?

Best Ahi I had was a braised slab with Wasabi butter. Outer half char broiled/inner half sashimi.

For my one and only post here, I have to state that I am alergic to wine, it completely disagrees with me. My parents especially my late father had a cellar and along with good friends who have been buying/storing wines since the late 60's, I have tried some of the worlds best. To show how low of culture I must have, I find it good that I am alergic to wine, because it is all vinegar to me. Truly good for cooking, not for drinking.

Enjoy your love of this liquid.

Try a good Chateauneuf-de-pape, say '85 Vieux Telegraphe.

I second that recomendation, it is quite nice. Finding 85? maybe not so easy.

True. A good substitute would be a '92 or '94.

Still not there?

You know, I suspected
FedEx never payed their
people enough to afford
lunch on the run.

Look for the delivery dude
with a smile on his face.
