I've noticed in my Southern burg of 250K we have eight Crossfires sitting on one of the two Chrysler dealer's lot. Have these things been an absolute disaster? Anybody see them on the road?

For me, the styling is too cluttered and corrugated and the brushed chrome windshield frame just doesn't belong. Besides, the price is pushing you into a lot of fun euro-nippo machines.

( huh? )

For not much more, you can get the same car in convertible form with a folding hardtop, cleaner styling, a "peace symbol" on the front grill ; ) and much better treatment at the service counter.

If I wanted a Mercedes SLK, I wouldn't be looking at a Chrysler interpretation of the same car.

I have a chuckle every time I see one (invariably sitting on a chrysler dealers lot) remembering Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear saying it looks like a dog squatting for a poop.
An old slk (not a great car to start with although the new one sounds much better) playing dress-up seems like such a dumb thing to make right now with all the good competition in that segment.
I'd much rather a nissan 350z/fairlady, honda s2000, mazda rx8 (even an mx5), vw golf r32, mini cooper s (works or hartge) and the higher end one crossfires are even getting into boxter, new slk, and z4 territory.

it is not chrysler's interpretation. there are many mercedes designs and parts. remember daimler owns chrysler. this is much more affordable than a mercedes.
